In the 1970's, Siesta Key Village was a groovy, laid-back place to meet friends and support local businesses. Everybody mixed in places like The Mews and Village Hardware, Suprex, Robenas and The Buttery. Beachside shops like Foxy Lady, Oceanside Surf Shop and Ocean Boulevard Sailboarding, and The Wildflower had fresh, healthy vegetarian food.

A new Sunday morning tradition, the Siesta Farmers Market brings raw foods, fresh fruits and vegetables, home-baked pastries and breads, fresh cut flowers, specialty cheeses, coffees, soaps, jellies, and seafood, together with music, entertainment and more.
